On December of 1944 the U.S. Government produced this Enemy Sighing Guide in order to help Allied soldiers, sailors, and pilots of the Army and Navy identify a wide variety of Japanese aircraft, Japanese warships, and Japanese merchant and shipping vessels.
Marked ‘RESTRICTED’ this is double-sided document corresponds with a prior publication released prior titled, “Enemy Sighting Guide and JAN NO. 3”. This would have been carried during the war and used as study and identification tool when identifying Japanese ships and aircraft in the Pacific.
