This original Korean War banknote was a war bring back item from a Korean War veteran who served and saw combat experience in Korea. Sometimes these were found on the ground of captured towns as the American forces pushed through or there are accounts of soldiers rummaging through the pockets of KIA or captured Korean soldiers after a battle. While this banknote is in used condition, it appears to show signs of staining and heavy wear.
