This WWII era Type 94 Japanese canteen harness was it bring back of the Pacific Theater by a U.S. WWII veteran. The canteen harness itself has an olive green appearance and a ‘salty’ look. The canteen buckles show average wear and rust, as many of these metals were subjected to harsh and salty ocean environments in the Pacific Theater. While the Japanese soldier that carried this canteen strap is unknown, this personal World War 2 artifacts was carried by a Japanese soldier who was either killed, captured, or wounded as the Allied forces began to push their way closer to Japan.
