The Normandy landings were the landing operations and associated airborne operations on Tuesday, June 6th, 1944 of the Allied invasion of Normandy in Operation Overlord during World War II. Codenamed Operation Neptune and often referred to as D-Day, it was the largest seaborne invasion in history.

On the morning of June 6th, 1944, the U.S. Army Rangers and two U.S. Infantry Divisions, the 1st Infantry Division, and the 29th Infantry Division, landed at Omaha Beach, the second to the west of the five landing beaches of D-Day. Omaha Beach was divided into ten sectors, codenamed (from west to east): Charlie, Dog Green, Dog White, Dog Red, Easy Green, Easy White, Easy Red, Fox Green, Fox White, and Fox Red.

Utah Beach was the westernmost landing area during the Normandy Invasion on June 6th, 1944. Led by elements of the U.S. 4th Infantry Division, Utah Beach was divided into zones named Tare Green, Uncle Red, and Victor.

This incredible and very rare piece of D-Day history was preserved during a professional preservation of Omaha Beach and Utah Beach in Normandy during the 50th Invasion Anniversary in 1994.

This would be an amazing way for your history buff to have a truly one-of-a-kind D-Day bracelet that is a real conversation starter!
