This original WWII ‘RESTRICTED’ 1944 dated training booklet was given out U.S.N. ‘taxi men’ and working and operating on an aircraft carrier as well as on land during WWII. Part of the “NAVAER 00-80Q-20” and “OPNAV 33-5” series, this booklet was given to a U.S.N. personal mainly operating in the Pacific Theater but also served as a guide for others in the E.T.O. Created by the ‘Aviation Training Division’ and ‘The Office of the Chief of Naval Operations’ this U.S. Navy book was issued January of 1944. This book was essential and teaches the hand signals and importance of pilot and taxi men communication when landing on carries and airstrips.
This book is part of a collection of WWII training manuals and books given to WWII training servicemen before shipping off to the various theaters of operation. These books we intentionally designed with humorous hand drawings, simple to read diagrams, as well as easy reading passages so ALL servicemen regardless of their educational background could understand and learn the material being presented to them.
