This display case is our large size and measures a perfect 8 inches tall x 6 inches wide.

This series is a limited edition, meaning that each “Piece of History” display is unique and may vary slightly from the display shown. These displays stand as a distinctive and invaluable addition to the collection of any history enthusiast.

*We authenticate our "Pieces of History" at the micro level! During the authentication process sometimes we use high-res microscopes. In one of the last images of the listing, we included a few high-res images of the original WWII 1st Infantry Division patch that was done during this authentication process!

This incredibly rare and very historic piece of WWII D-Day history is an original U.S. Army 1st Infantry Division uniform patch worn by a World War II U.S. 1st Infantry Division soldier in the ETO.

The 1st Infantry Division, also known as "The Big Red One," is one of the oldest and most renowned divisions in the U.S. Army.

During WWII the 1st Infantry Division played a pivotal role in several key operations such as Operation Torch and Operation Husky.

The Division's most famous contribution came during the D-Day invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944, when soldiers of the 1st Infantry Division heroically landed on Omaha Beach.

Following Operation Overlord, the division participated in the infamous Battle of the Bulge earning a reputation as one of the most famous U.S. divisions in history.

This would make an amazing addition to any WWII, D-Day, or military enthusiast collection.
