This incredible U.S. 20th Air Force “Piece of History“ display is professionally encased in a glass display case with plush padding and a tightly sealed display case. This display case is our large size and measures a perfect 8 inches tall x 6 inches wide.

This incredibly rare and very historic piece of WWII history is an original U.S. 20th Air Force uniform patch worn by a World War II U.S. 20th Air Force pilot.

The 20th Air Force played a crucial role in World War II, particularly in the Pacific, where it conducted strategic air missions in the PTO. These aerial operations involved the use of B-29 Superfortress, some of the most advanced aircraft of their time.

The B-29 Superfortress was a formidable aircraft, boasting long-range capabilities. The 20th Air Force operated from bases in the Mariana Islands, such as Guam, Tinian, and Saipan, which provided strategic proximity.

Several notable pilots emerged from the ranks of the 20th Air Force during World War II. Among them was Colonel Paul Tibbets the most infamous B-29 of WWII. Tibbets' role in this historic 20th mission made him one of the most recognizable figures of WWII and underscored the pivotal role played by the 20th Air Force throughout World War II.

We authenticate our piece of history at the micro level! During the authentication process sometimes we use high-res microscopes. In the last image of the listing, I included a few high-res images of the 20th Air Force patch that was done during this authentication process!
