This rare U.S. Marine Corps artifact is an original 1960’s “Guidebook for Marines” that was used by PVT. WILLIAM PAUL STILO of “D” Company. This 500 page USMC manual was used to train Marines in the 1960’s for the Vietnam War conflict and was one of the most comprehensive USMC manuals produced at the time.

America's longest war was costly to the U.S. Marine Corps. From 1965 to 1975, nearly 500,000 Marines served in Southeast Asia. Of these, nearly 13,000 were killed and 52,000 wounded; nearly a third of all American causalities sustained during the war.
