This RESTRICTED 1943 dated recognition chart was utilized to train and educate pilots and crew in how to quickly and correctly identify German aircraft. This special chart depicts one of the German Luftwaffe’s most feared and deadly planes of WWII. Charts like these were made for all types of enemy aircraft as well as Allied planes to avoid friendly fire. These were studied meticulously by WWII servicemen fighting as telling the difference between enemy and friend quickly could be the difference between life and death.
