This original 1942 EXTREMELY RARE Japanese Pearl Harbor propaganda book was published by the Osaka Publishing Company. This original propaganda book was produced shortly following the successful Japanese attack of Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. The book details in great extent the Japanese military success with some of the first published combat photos of the attack of that time. What makes this book publication even more interesting are the sketch diagrams featured below some photos depicting the Japanese labeling of battleship row and the layout of the harbor that day. This book also features an erie section titled “Nine Heroes Memories WIll Live Forever” that immortalized the Japanese pilots that gave their lives.
This book was published by the Osaka Publishing Company and was printed in both Japanese with some English sections. It is unknown why the Osaka Publishing Company did this.
This propaganda book was meant to commemorate the Japanese attack force and their pilots on the successful Japanese destruction and damage of the nearly 20 American naval vessels, including eight battleships, and over 300 airplanes. More than 2,400 Americans died in the attack, including civilians, and another 1,000 people were wounded.
