This incredible and museum-grade double-sided World War II United States Navy map was used by USN ships in the Mediterranean Theater. This USN map was of vital importance as shows the “MINED AREAS AND ROUTES” around the areas of North Africa, Sicily, and Italy. These mines we're extremely dangerous to naval ships operating in that area so the avoidance of these minds and the use of this map would've been extremely important when navigating around the region. This map is double sided and also shows the mined sea areas around Greece and Egypt.
This map does show good theater use and is an incredible condition given its age. This would look amazing frame behind glass and would be an amazing addition to any World War II or US Navy collection.
