These unidentified dinosaur bone fragments came from a large dig within the Kem Kem Beds region. While it isn't possible to completely identify small bone fragments of dinosaurs, they can be dated to the Late Cretaceous, an estimated 100 - 66 million years ago.

History:

The Kem Kem Beds are located along the Algeria and Moroccan border. Within this region, are remains of dinosaurs dating back to the Late Cretaceous period. This section modern-day Earth was once home to a thriving prehistoric ecosystem of carnivorous Theropod and Pterosaurs dinosaurs. The Kem Kem Beds are a heavily studied and excavated region as they hold the mysteries of at least four large-bodied non-avian theropods. Some of the most famous excavations and discoveries from this site are the long-necked Rebbachisaurus, Deltadromeus, Carcharodontosaurus, and the Spinosaurus.
