This WWII era German book details the German infantry company, combat tactics of the German army as well serves a an equipment manual with photos and descriptions of some of the most infamous weapons of the German infantry soldier during WWII. The front part of the manual covers all the weapons used by the infantry including rifles, pistols, machine pistols, machine guns, antitank rifles, grenades, mortars and more. It shows pictures of machine gun crews and mortar crews demonstrating the precise way the weapons were carried by the three man crew, each with his load plainly displayed.

This booklet is Edition 2a and was approved on March 16th, 1941 and was printed in Berlin in 1942. Inside the front cover on page 3 it has a stamp for ‘March Company Nr. 6 of the 342 Replacement Battalion’. This Germany Battalion was based in Neuhaus-Bobmen and was printed and stamped to be a unit copy for this regiment, making it a very rare piece of WWII German artifacts and infantry books. The manual is thick with 260 detailed pages of descriptions, pictures, tables and three large double wide fold out charts at the very back of the manual. It measures 4 1/4 inches wide, 5 3/4 inches tall and 1/2 inch deep so it would fit easily into the pocket of the uniform coat. This copy is in excellent condition with the front cover, back cover and all pages firmly attached. The spine is in excellent condition and the 78 year old glue is as tight as the day it was bound. This interesting manual is a excellent resource for studying German infantry tactics and how they deployed their personnel and weapons in the attack and in the defense.
