This area located north of Tokyo saw a large amount of U.S. aerial raids and attacks during 1945. This map shows very important Japanese cities and towns heavily attacked by U.S. aerial strikes such as Maebashi (64.2% destroyed), Nikko, Kanuma, Utsunomiya (34.7% destroyed), and Koga.
