The French M15 Adrian Infantry Helmet was worn by the French army in the trenches during WWI. Originally all helmets painted horizon blue as still see on the inside of the helmet, until this color was realized to be light and visible. It was then that all French M15 helmets were painted in a darker color. The helmet has a grenade badge with the characters RF, the badge of the French infantery. The helmet is also adorned with the Veteran plate that reads ''Soldat de la Grande Guerre 1914-1918''. This plate is was mounted on the soldier’s helmets who fought in the Great War. The left plate screw that secures the plate is dismounted and is only originally attached on one side.
